Disassembly report: Raptor 30W PD fast charging charger

2021-04-27

Recently, rapoo launched a 30W USB PD fast charging charger with foldable pins, which supports QC, PD, PPS and other fast charging protocols, supports the fast charging of iPhone 8-12 series mobile phones, and can also meet the charging needs of Huawei, Apple's tablets and some notebook computers. Next, the charging head network will disassemble this charger in detail to see how the materials are made.

Prior to this, raptor has successively launched two types of Gan chargers, namely 65W 1a1c and 65W 2c1a, as well as mini 20W PD fast charging and 20W 1a1c dual port fast charging, to fully meet the purchase needs of different consumers.

This 30W PD fast charging charger has a smooth and simple body and classic shape. It is equipped with foldable pins to reduce the travel carrying cost of users. It is equipped with a single usb-c interface and supports multiple mainstream fast charging protocols. It has complete voltage ranges of 5v3a, 9v3a, 12v2.5a, 15v2a, 20v1.5a and two PPS voltage ranges of 3.3-12v2.5a and 3.3-20v1.5a. The overall compatibility is good and meets the fast charging requirements of most small and medium-sized devices.

Through the disassembly of the charging head network, we learned that in addition to the main board, the charger is also equipped with an input small board and two output small boards, and the capacitors, transformers and other devices are glued and reinforced. In the switching power supply part, the secondary synchronous rectifier controller adopts Sili technology ap402b, which has strong performance and can be compared with MPS mp6908. The protocol chip adopts Songhan snpd1683 to identify the protocol and control the output voltage. Huarong Weiye electrolytic capacitor and solid state capacitor are used for input and output filtering.
